An update from Saffron on her Apprenticeship…..

It’s National Apprenticeship Week…the best time for Saffron to share an update!

I started my Apprenticeship journey on the 19^th April 2022 in Digital Marketing and ever since then I have been doing a ton of different things from reports, classes and preparing for exams whilst also putting those teachings in to practise the best I possibly could into the workplace.

Since its start and it now being February 2023 I can officially say that I am 50% completed with my apprenticeship and I have passed one of the three exams so far, WooHoo!

But what does it actually entail..?

As an apprenticeship suggests I do work alongside being educated all about Digital Marketing, but it also means that I have to put the learning back into what I do at work, the main focus that I have honed in on is attempting to learn how to use social media platforms and schedulers. This has helped give me a spot to join in on campaigns with the team for getting our name out there by showing what we are up to and what we offer.

What have I done so far …

I have attended 2 weeks of classroom training on Marketing Principles and Relationship marketing, with this I got to learn about all the differences on each type of social media (Twitter ,Instagram ,Facebook etc…) and all the other different ways to market a business from paid ads, email marketing, using social media, print advertising and more 😊

I am currently preparing to do my exam for these two classes and receive my BCS Certificate in Marketing Principles. These classes have further helped me able to produce several reports that I have been doing over the past 10 months!

Within the business I have taken part in a few campaigns that Boo has run which has included the Winter Wellbeing Festival 2023 that took place this January and I am very happy with the outcome.  The book club hosted by Patti was so popular we had to do another one!

Create with Boo also happened again this year and I got to see more lovely submissions from everybody along with the 2 new themes we added!

 

During this entire apprenticeship everybody within the business has been very supportive with my learning and has made their best efforts to make me feel comfortable and confident in my abilities. I couldn’t ask for anything better x

 

I hope this gives a little bit better of an insight as to what I have been up to since I started my journey and I can’t wait to see what else there is in store for me.
