There have been no Bolton-based members of the Good Employment Charter… Until Now!

Team Boo have become one of the first two Bolton businesses to achieve member status of The Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter, after a rigorous audit of company values and policies.

We are a little bit thrilled, to say the least! The Charter, launched in 2019 by Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham, requires members and supporters to demonstrate seven key characteristics of good employment, including a commitment to paying the Real Living Wage – you may have noticed by now that we are fans of fair pay.
“Boo Coaching & Consulting have adopted excellent people practice and it is thoroughly deserved!” – Sharon Mc Donnell, Manchester Growth Company
The vision of The Good Employment Charter is for Greater Manchester to be a “leading exemplar of good employment in the UK, a place where people have equal access to quality work that is inclusive, fairly compensated, offers security and flexibility and cultivates an environment where health and wellbeing thrives”. There are currently 34 companies that have achieved member status, none of which are based in Bolton. Team Boo, and our friends Starts With You, will be the 35th and 36th members.
“We have worked hard at Boo to create a healthy and happy workplace where all our team can thrive. Becoming a Good Employment Charter Member is a really big achievement for us and proves that we can do business differently – we hope that other companies in our home town of Bolton are inspired by what Starts With You and Team Boo have achieved.” – Becci Martin, Founder and Director of Boo Coaching & Consulting
We will formally be presented with our Good Employment Plaque (one for the trophy shelf) on the 27th January.
