Kickstart Placement Scheme – paid placement opportunity – 25 hours/week £10/hour

Team Boo are excited to offer a paid placement opportunity in our brilliant team. This is in response to the government new Kickstart Scheme.

We have an opportunity for a new 6-month job placement for a young person who is currently on Universal Credit. The job placement will support the candidate to develop the skills and experience they need to find work after completing the scheme and may have an opportunity to join Team Boo on a permanent basis!

The successful candidate will be working in a small team (virtually and sometimes at our HQ in Bolton) developing business support services and delivering administrative support for an exciting learning and consultancy service. Key tasks include;

  • Communicating with customers via telephone, email, social media
  • Social media support for Boo HQ and its customers
  • Administrative tasks including preparation of learning materials, updating systems, managing emails and supporting the delivery of our Chartered Management approved centre
  • Creating customer evaluation reports
  • Supporting and maintaining office systems with the guidance of the Operations Director
  • Supporting learning events (face to face and virtual)

We will also provide sessions to help the candidate to develop their skills and experience, including:

  • support to look for long-term work, including career advice and setting goals
  • support with CV and interview preparations
  • supporting with basic skills, such as attendance, timekeeping and teamwork

There will also be a mentor available as well as all the usual lovely opportunities that being part of Team Boo offers!
