Celebrating 2 years since we became an approved centre for CMI coaching and mentoring qualifications!
Did you know we deliver coaching and mentoring qualifications? Well here is an update from Becci about how it is all going…
This week we had our first ever quality visit with our partners The Chartered Management Institute and we are thrilled to say it went brilliantly! We met (online) with our Quality Manager and had the opportunity to talk through all aspects of our approved centre including;
- Policies and processes
- Our Covid-19 response
- Our resources and web page
- Learner feedback
- Team development and quality assurance
It was so cool to see all the hard work and support that both Karen and Shin have put into making our approved centre the magical place it is and filled my heart with joy to share the learner feedback. It was also a treat when our Quality Manager told us that the web page was pretty!
It is almost 2 years since we launched our delivery of CMI programmes and in that time we have supported nearly 90 participants through either the level 5 or level 7 certificate in coaching and mentoring. We have enabled brilliant folk to tap into their natural coaching talent in order to benefit their teams and their communities and we have had a lit of fun along the way!
In recent months we have switched our programme delivery to virtual and welcomed Karen into the delivery team as a supportive facilitator and contact for all our registered participants where she has been able to offer frequent drop in sessions and guidance around assessments and coaching practice. This has been really well received by our registered learners and has even encouraged those who were struggling with assignments to reach out and build their confidence.
I am passionate about the role that coaching can play in creating healthy and happy workplaces and even more so in the creation of healthy and sustainable communities. I believe we have a responsibility to offer inclusive programmes that help democratise and demystify coaching and I am proud that we are continuing to do this despite the current challenges we are all facing.
Some highlights for me have been…
- The delivery of a large-scale Health and Wellbeing Coaching Training programme which saw us train up 17 wonderful people as level 5 and level 7 coaches and mentors to support the HMR wellbeing strategy
- Launching our open programme which has seen a glorious collective of people learning together from a wide range of sectors and backgrounds
- Supporting our customers from Making Space to create a community of internal coaches through our level 5 certificate in coaching and mentoring
- Delivering a Coaching for Inclusion programme through a level 5 certificate in coaching and mentoring for colleagues from across the NHS supported by the NHS North West Leadership Academy
